Procera
Procera is a unique CAD/CAM technology system for the fabrication of esthetic and functional dental restorations. There's a seamless solution for every indication, whether it's crowns, bridges, or implant abutments.
The Procera fabrication process involes digitaly recording the shape of your die in a computer using a touch-syle scanner. A wax-up scan (double scan) is also possible if you wish to indicate the exact shape desired. The data is collected from the scanner and interpreted by the Procera software and displayed on a monitor. An expierenced technician then verifies the scanned data in detail and creates a coping in a vitrual enviroment. Modifcations such as cusp build up for porcelain support, merging your scanned wax up with your digital die are beeing done at this stage.
The final data is then send electronically to Procera where the data is used to mill a new die that has been expanded to accommodate for the shrinkage of the zirconia or alumina sintering process. The coping is then milled to an exact depth resulting in the final thickness of a coping. This process proves also extremely accurate for the reproduction of you waxed custom abutments in zirconia or titanium.
The result is a high strength ceramic framework in Zirconia (white colour), Alumina (approx. A2 colour) a Zirconia or Titanium abutment.
