Cercon
Cercon is a high tech CAD-CAM laser / milling system suitable for Zirconia crowns and bridges, for all regions in the mouth.
Cercon enables us as a laboratory to choose a method such as the traditional approach (by configuring your crown or bridge by manually waxing) or the virtual alternative (by scanning the model and design the framework on screen using the Cercon Eye scanner and Cercon Art module). Either way, the wax up or virtual data is transmitted to the Cercon Brain with specifics milling instructions.
The milling process is started with the Cercon Zirconium base of choice. An oversized replica of the restoration is milled. The Zirconia framework is hardened by sintering in the Cercon heat furnace. This process also involves shrinkage to the final prescribed by the wax-up or the virtual configuration. The result is a high strength ceramic framework with the choice of white or tooth coloured shade.
Labs with a Cercon Eye Scanner have access to our milling center by uploading scanned Ceron files. This method allows laboratories to stay in control of designs in every aspect of the case and speed up turnaround time.
